• Easy to carry or pack for mobile use or as a docking solution at home or in your office.
• Integrated key-lock and system tray secures your X40 Series notebook in the X4 UltraBase and the slot for an optional cable lock helps provide security for the dock.
• Integrated Modular Bay -- supports Ultrabay Slim options including the DVD, CD-RW/DVD-ROM and  Multi-Burner Slim Drives as well as the Ultrabay Slim Li-Polymer battery for all day (up to 10.7 hours*)1 battery life on select models when used with the system battery. Or, add an optional second ThinkPad hard drive with the ThinkPad 2nd Hard Drive Adapter for Ultrabay Slim.
• Standard Ports: pass-through support including Gigabit ethernet (RJ-45), modem (RJ-11), three USB 2.0, serial, parallel, PS2-mouse/keyboard, VGA and power.
• Gigabit Ethernet pass-through port (will function as 10/100 ethernet port for system without gigabit ethernet).
• USB 2.0 pass-through ports (will function as USB 1.1 port for system with USB 1.1)
• PS2-mouse/keyboard port (requires optional Y-connector to support keyboard).
• Two integrated speakers for stereo sound.
• Ergonomic design provides comfortable typing angle.
• Compatible with all ThinkPad X40 Series notebooks.
• These model numbers achieved Battery Rundown Time of at least the time shown during testing.
• Power jack for use with the X40 Series system’s 56W AC Adapter or the optional ThinkPad 72W AC/DC Combo Adapter or the ThinkPad 72W AC Adapter
